Heh. In Czech, "smrt" means "dead."

HAH! Which I learned when I made my (fabulous seekrit santa gift) velcro shirt say "SMRT", and one of my friends who speaks Czech was a little perturbed...

I'm feeling musically out of synch, goodness. Well, I suspect not too many of my songs will be on other people's albums, unless they're in the guilty pleasures slots. Because my tastes, while broad, mostly run to pop, hip hop, and dykes with guitars...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm fond of "Promises" by The Buzzcocks.

Whee!

Indestructible Object[1], a 5-song EP from They Might Be Giants, will be arriving in March[2]. A new album will follow shortly thereafter[3].

[1] Name subject to change, as John Flansburgh often makes up project names.

[2] Date subject to change, as John Flansburgh often has no sense of scheduling.

[3] This phrase is sufficiently vague to not require a footnote.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

My revised mix is now 79 minutes. I couldn't find something to get it to 80 minutes exactly, damn it.

I am using RealOne Player to burn my CD. Under preferences it has some options for Write Speed. It seems teh default is "fastest possible". Do I want to use that?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Yes. Unless it doesn't work. But you should definitely try it first that way. I almost never get coasters at the fastest speed.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

Feh, my home printer is on the fritz. I was able to print out the liner notes at work, but alas, no printed CD label, as I don't have that program here at work. Oh well.

So am I going to be the only one in the game with a fairly mainstream (if eclectic) mix? I feel so ... boring.

I'm sending my boring ... er, fairly mainstream, yet eclectic mix out today. Yay!

Oh another thing. My work computer came loaded with the Dell Jukebox with Musicmatch, the RealOne Player stuff, and the Windows Media Player. I can play CDs on any of them.

Where do I set one to be my default for when I put a CD in?

I'm on Windows XP Home Version.
