Hopefully I'll get them in the mail to Jon by early next week.
Might as well just bring them to the F2F.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Note to Steph and SA: Gillian Welch will be at Madison Theater in Covington KY with Old Crow Medicine Show. If that weren't Indy Pride Day, I'd go, and to see OCMS even more than GW.
Fans of old-timey music t looking at tina f , google 'em and take a listen at their website. "Tear It Down" has the kind of plinky banjo I adore, and a nice interlude of "Pig Ankle Rag," of which I've been unable to find a good recording.
I'll be getting my fill of plinky banjo this weekend at the old time music fest in Bean Blossom!
Oh, yeah. I dig OCMS. They're a great band. & I love Gillian Welch. I did know about that concert, but I kind of wondered about actually getting there. It'll be pretty good.
Tina, I got cds today. Thanks!
Might as well just bring them to the F2F.
True enough, though the potential for misplacing them or just forgetting to hand them over seems fairly high.
Since it is 3:30 on the day before my vacation starts, I am blowing off the last work thing on my to-do list and finally taking care of getting the CDs from the mix ripped into my machine and labeled. I fear I may have lost the liner notes to a paper pile in my house, but if I get these done today, I will take them to SF to hand off to meara. I will mail along liner notes when they are found.
We just got two Matty the Mutaytor CDs.
They're the best, most-dancable electronica I've heard in ages. And fun!
Hey, is it the weekend of the wedding already? Congrats, David & JZ!
Hey, is it the weekend of the wedding already? Congrats, David & JZ!
Thank you!
I have finished the first two CDs, arrival music (Bossa and latin jazz), and dinner music (lush pop harmonies: Byrds, Beach Boys, Cosmic Rough Riders, Jellyfish, Posies).
I'm working on the dance music. I've given up trying to figure out what the kids dance to anymore, so it's mostly old soul and funk, with smatterings of new wave/punk, Prince, swing and novelties. I know it's stuff that I'll dance to. And JZ will dance to anything with a beat.
First dance? "Knock Me A Kiss" - Louis Jordan (which I think is sexier than Roy Eldridge's version).
Awww. Y'all are getting married the weekend before my anniversary.
