Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Trust my rage

Sumi - I just linked to the Punk Rock Orchestra piece over in Natter. (Sorry, beyond my abilities to link to that post.) Anyway, I had never heard of Unlit, but I liked what I heard.

Art Crawl!!!

I loved the operatic version of "California uber alles" and the orchestral version of "Lust for Life".

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

I'm sorry, Punk Rock Orchestra? I mean, I went to the website, and, OK, but are there samples?

Art Crawl!!!

Apparently many of the participating musicians are using this as volunteer hours to work off parking tickets and others just really love the opportunity to play music that they loved as kids but were forbidden to play or sing.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Looks like $15, and that's for the whole evening's worth of bands (though the rest are unfamiliar to me, except for -- egad -- REO Speedwagon).

Heh. Maybe we can drop in for Jamie and head out for dinner?
