There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

msbelle - if you want to select tracks go to File - and select "Add to Library" - it should let you pick the CD and then pick individual songs off of it and add them.

If you want the whole CD - you should just be able to hit the "import" button in the upper right hand corner of the iTunes window.

Sometimes it takes a while depending on what other programs you have running, etc.

Hope that helps.

It doesn't seem to allow importing of MP3 files from a disk. Anyone know?

Hmm. Did you mean the disk already has MP3 files on it - it's not a regular-for-your-stereo CD? Because if so, just copy the MP3 files to your hard drive and then drop them into the iTunes library window.

I'm probably not helping at this point and should go take a nap.

hmmph. I can't get it to work. If I put in a CD with MP3 files, it automatically shows those files in my libary and won't remove them when the CDs out (so I put in the CD again, it adds them again), but it won't copy them. Feh, I'll do it the old way on Tuesday.

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

Is there a Buffistas registration to the NYTimes site? I'd like to read the Thurston Moore bit on Kurt Cobain. Thanks!

Also, try bugmenot.com the next time you come across a site that bars access to unregistered readers.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did anybody bookmark the site that sold burnable CDs that look like little 45 records?

I need it, por favor.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hec, I bought some of those at Radio Shack.
