Well, look who just popped open a fresh can of venom.

Buffista Music II: Wrath of Chaka Khan

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport

I used to love this song.

My birth year had lots of Perry Como songs, but none that I'd ever heard of.

Heading up to Somerville today. I guessing that there's at least one used record store near Harvard Square, so the paln is to head up a little early and try to find some of the CDs I need.

Curse you, wee Hec. I've just bought that Gap Band song from iTunes.

Why do I think that the iTunes store is gonna be taking all my money for a while?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Kat P., if I trade in some of my vinyl for cheap CDs I think I'll make a compilation of that early 80s dance/funk/pop stuff. I'll make sure you get a copy. (You too, Shawn.)

Woo-hoo! BTW, I'm listening to the second coming Dizzee Rascal right now. I didn't realize how much of a throwback he sounded-- "Fix Up Look Sharp" sounds like it should be in Breakin' 2.

Roguish Laird

Hmmm, well, true, but then again "I Luv U" sounds like nothing else ever!

You don't think the dialogue is very 80s? I think it sounds a bit Busta, but my BF disagrees, and he knows rap better.

I think I might have finished my mix!

This would be more exciting I hadn't been supposed to be answering urgent email this morning.

Now to relisten and obsess. I'm not so concerned with flow, 'cause, really, doesn't everyone use "shuffle" 24-7? ::runs, hides::

The reason I gut up so early this morning is because I spent last night working on the mix, and not the cataloguing assignment I have due Monday. And I'm not finished either at this point!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

This is my "funniest" misunderstood lyrics song. Before I realized the chorus was "games without frontiers" in French, I thought they were saying "she's so pop-u-lar"

Wow - tina is me. This is what I thought the song said until I had the lyric sheet in hand. Of course, for years I thought it was a Bowie song, so my errors w/r/t this song are legion.

"God...my brilliance is now becoming a bit of a burden...get back to me." Dr. Cox - Scrubs

Just wondering what everyone's top 25 album releases of 2003 are. I am mentally working on my list everynight at work.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I CAN BURN!! I am in the mix officially now. No one needs to make more than one buirn of their CD, although I am very thankful to Hayden for the suggestion.

Meara, you need to complete your mix and mail it out by 2-1. Let me know ASAP if you want in.
