See, I do love Dylan. But I love him in a "have five CDs, most from the '60's" way, not an "own every CD and bootleg I can possibly get" one. I'm worried about the "songs I don't know" factor.
But, I think I have talked myself into buying the tickets anyhow. i'll see how I feel after lunch.
but [Howard Jones] played in a small club here in Salt Lake (the Zephyr)

Every time I drive past that corner, I look up to see who's playing.
"Dance With My Father" is making me cry.

I know. It's so sad, they had so many great performers there.
I saw Dylan on the tour he did with Paul Simon a couple years ago. I'm 'eh' on Dylan, love Paul Simon mightily.
DH has seen Dylan several times, said that the show we saw was excellent. It seemed 'okay' to me, but again, not a big fan. Also, I was newly pregnant and everything, including but not limited to: sitting down, standing up, breathing hard, and looking sharply to the left, made me feel a bit faint.
I can say everything was tuneful and sounded like music, two things that I've been told you can't always say about Dylan shows.
I was just sitting here listening to "Bob Dylan's Dream" from
Freewheelin'
and thinking - I'd go see him again. So - you know - that's not very helpful - just thought I'd throw it in.
Great great frankenmix hayden. I like it a lot. You used Lyra Jane's local artists song as the artist you hate song you like song. ("Waiting Room" Fugazi).
It was about 95% new to me so I need to listen to it a couple more times before I can pick out my faves. I think that was the first time I had ever heard Motorhead. Mock my lack of metal chops.
I know no one cares - but I just heard the first track off of the new Modest Mouse CD and am giddy like a 16 year old about it. It's always nerve racking to hear new stuff from bands you worship because it could suck. And then you'd be sad.
Glad you like it, Tina! I'm just proud to be the man who brought Lemmy into your life.
Got Hec's and, uh, somebody's mixes today (brain fart), just before leaving the house for work, so no time to copy. Tomorrow (and tomorrow and tomorrow).
Anyway, so, thx, Elizabeth.
Mine, I'm pretty sure.
Could well be, but I just got it, opened it, went "Cool," and ran for the bus.
