Angel: I can stay in town as long as you want me. Buffy: How's forever? Does forever work for you?

'Lies My Parents Told Me'

We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Plus, movie with Rain Phoenix. Who's hot.

I haven't read the book. The movie struck me as being a sort of Russ Meyer film with small breasts.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Uncertainty could be our guiding light.

I can't read three books at once! ::insert winky thing here::

Always Anti-fascist!

That movie wasn't very good to that book, Fay. But Rain is beautiful. Oh, "Still Life" is great too, though...I have sentimental reasons for preferring "Cowgirls" having seen myself in Sissy Hankshaw.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I started with Jitterbug Perfume, but Still Life is also really good.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I couldn't finish Jitterbug. I loved Woodpecker, though -- it's part of my senior thesis.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Really, any of his early novels would do you fine. The three mentioned here are probably my favorites. I think I started with Woodpecker.

I started with Still Life with Woodpecker and it remains my favorite.
