We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Whoa.
Maybe there should be a counter book, where the kids start a lemonade stand and their customers all die from the mercury in the water they used to make the lemonade. Then when they try to figure out where the mercury came from, a Bush Minion accuses them of disloyalty to Corporate American values, and sends them to Gitmo, sans trial.
That's seriously fucked up. And unfunny. No wonder we dominate entertainment.
Would you let your child read blatantly liberal stories with titles such as "King & King," "No, George, No," or "It's Just a Plant"?
Blatantly liberal? I'm so confused.
I think one is supposed to be a queer reference, one is supposed to be about the POTUS, and one is about (gasp!) ecology.
"It's Just a Plant" is about marijuana. It's the only one of those I've heard of.
Do conservatives hate trees?
Oh wait a second, no. I think "It's Just a Plant" is about marijuana.
Heh. X-post.
I didn't realize there were children's books about marijuana. The hell?
Oh! I thought they were gags. My bad!
