What? I'm not allowed to hit people? Wesley: Not people capable of genocide. Angel: Those are exactly the types of people I should be allowed to hit!

We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Out of curiosity - what's the difference between the US and UK versions of HBP beside coming from different countries?

The Sugar Quill has a thread for this. Apparently, the differences are relatively minor, mostly spelling (although there are two sentences dropped from the UK version that the US still has).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I haven't. They sound charming, although I appear to be squarely in the Badfort crowd, if you replace "sacking" with "sweatpants."

I want to live in place that's half Gormenghast half Disneyland. We'll call it... Jillilandia. Apparently Gaiman is a big fan of the Uncle stories.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

A friend of mine works in a library at the U of Alaska in Ketchikan; the chancellor there decided they no longer needed a library and had them get rid of more than half their collection.

Whaa? That's just... Fucking people. There are no words. I give up.

New, fully poseable Author!Knut.

Whaa? That's just... Fucking people. There are no words. I give up.

I forgot to say, she then had them moved into a room the size of a storage closet. Apparently all the students need is a computer with Google bookmarked.

Giles needs to have a talk with that woman.

Always Anti-fascist!

Of course they need a library...unless it's the collected works of Strom Thurmond or something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Giles needs to have a talk with that woman.

Why don't we send Ripper in instead?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hm. The elephant in a purple dressing gown is a familiar image, yet I don't remember the stories at all. Maybe I knew someone who had them?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

At the risk of saying things that have been said . . . second chapter had no right to exist

I'm really confused by this. It had every right to exist and was in fact very important, moreso than the first chapter.
