Noooo! Italy! Where's Italy??
It's right between France and Austria, but that's not important right now!
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I just read that JKR is worth more than the Queen.
Not bad.
Steps on P-C's toe and sticks out tongue.
I can't get a copy of Harry Potter on my European vacation! And my diamond shoes are too tight!
I'll just have to get creative, that's all.
I was happy to see with OotP that they kept in a lot of the British-isms and didn't over Americanize the language. Respecting the readers is a good thing, Scholastic!
You might be beaten to death with a replica light saber.
Be careful.
Well, since it's a con with a literary focus, not as great a possibility as you might think.
Swords, on the other hand...:)
Methinks the light saber beating would be preferable to the sword.
But, hey, YBeatingMV!
Anne, backflanged.
We've ordered the British edition, as DH insists so it'll match all our previous HP books. And with family finances as they currently are, I can't justify buying an American copy just to read it when everyone else does. So I'll be a little behind.
We'll be waiting until it's out in paperback in Canada, just like last time, and picking it up at Chapters.
Susan, we should orchestrate a trade. I buy the UK version when I'm there, read it right away, you get your American first day, then we swap so our respective collections match.
OTOH, my copy would likely be well-worn by the time I got home, thus un-collection worthy.
I'm having my pre-ordered copy sent to Michigan since that's where I'll be.
