My friend Tami has threatened to beat me upside the head if I do what I did with OotP and read it in one sitting.
Ok, this seems completely normal to me. The thought of putting down an engrossing book to "save" it? Is like telling a junkie to only push the syringe down HALFway.
I love being that engrossed! All day readAthon! Sounds like fun. Throw in a basket of chilicheese fries, and I think I'd take it over an orgasm.
DH will be at ComicCon when our copy arrives, so I get to read it first. Yay!
I haven't read a new-to-me full-mind immesrion I-frickin-LOVE-this book in SO long. I am jonseing. I have fines at the library, I have gone through my friends' bookshelves.
I KNOW my little sister has a stack a mile high...but she's 70 miles away and spening money on gas to visit isn't doable. Damn, I haven't seen my fam since April.
Of course, I just realized that I'm going to be at a science fiction convention the weekend it comes out, so there's a possibility I might be able to find it...:)
You might be beaten to death with a replica light saber.
Be careful.
Jo Rowling's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will reach bookstores in the United States, Canada, Australia and Britain on July 16, 2005
Noooo! Italy! Where's Italy??
We've ordered the British edition, as DH insists so it'll match all our previous HP books. And with family finances as they currently are, I can't justify buying an American copy just to read it when everyone else does. So I'll be a little behind.
