No. And yes. It's always sudden.

We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

You might be beaten to death with a replica light saber.

Be careful.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Jo Rowling's Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will reach bookstores in the United States, Canada, Australia and Britain on July 16, 2005

Noooo! Italy! Where's Italy??

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

We've ordered the British edition, as DH insists so it'll match all our previous HP books. And with family finances as they currently are, I can't justify buying an American copy just to read it when everyone else does. So I'll be a little behind.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Noooo! Italy! Where's Italy??

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just read that JKR is worth more than the Queen.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Steps on P-C's toe and sticks out tongue.

I can't get a copy of Harry Potter on my European vacation! And my diamond shoes are too tight!

I'll just have to get creative, that's all.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I was happy to see with OotP that they kept in a lot of the British-isms and didn't over Americanize the language. Respecting the readers is a good thing, Scholastic!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Well, since it's a con with a literary focus, not as great a possibility as you might think.

Swords, on the other hand...:)

Methinks the light saber beating would be preferable to the sword.

But, hey, YBeatingMV!

Anne, backflanged.
