this book prompted some of the best discussion my book club has had in the 5 years or so we've been meeting. Tonight we're discussing the Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri, which I enjoyed. Weren't people talking about House of the Scorpion recently? It's been optioned for a movie.

Has anyone else read Lewis Shiner's Say Goodbye: The Laurie Moss Story (1999)?
I had read his Deserted Cities of the Heart and Glimpses years ago, and enjoyed them both very much.
I just finished Say Goodbye tonight (after staying up until 4am last night, absorbed in it).
I know some people who would be psyched to go to [link] and search "Batgirl Poster". If this is you, go! Do!
