Has anyone else read Lewis Shiner's Say Goodbye: The Laurie Moss Story (1999)?
I had read his Deserted Cities of the Heart and Glimpses years ago, and enjoyed them both very much.
I just finished Say Goodbye tonight (after staying up until 4am last night, absorbed in it).
I know some people who would be psyched to go to [link] and search "Batgirl Poster". If this is you, go! Do!
I am about to venture forth to Borders with $100 worth of gift certificates to buy books for my vacation. I have the latest Elizabeth Peters' Peabody book on the list. Any other recoommendations for light, fun books?
Have you read any Jennifer Crusie?

Small World
by David Lodge. One of my top five Most Fun Reads ever.
Bellwether by Connie Willis. Any of the collections of Cynthia Heimel and Calvin Trillin columns. Shirley Jackson's Life Among the Savages (The author of The Lottery being very funny).
When I travel I ususally pick up a fat book by Elizabeth George at the airport. I don't know why - - but it's about the only time I read her. The plus side is that I travel so infrequently that the paperback at the airport store is boudn be be one I haven't read.
Thanks all! I have taken notes.
Steph, I bought
Tell me lies
last night, but Polgara told me that a couple of other Crusie's were better, so I am hoping that when I am standing in front of the Crusie books, I will remember those titles.
Lee, start with
Welcome to Temptation
and
Faking It.
IMO.
