There's something about a food that moves all by itself that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

We're Literary 2: To Read Makes Our Speaking English Good

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

and there was an awful Disney movie "based" on the book "Escape to Witch Mountain." Tony and Tia, the psychic twins.

There were two movies, did you hate the original 1975 one, or the horrific 1995 TV remake that made me want to shove hot pokers into someone's eyes?

Herding cats for fun

1975 version. That cover photo reminded me that I didn't like ow they made Tia all whiney. Totally missed the 1995 version on TV. But hey - Brad Dourif!

Meanwhile, back at the Hall of Justice...

Speaking of movie adaptations, according to teenhollywood.com Keira Knightly is slated to star as Elizabeth Bennet in a new movie version of Pride and Prejudice. I don't know what to think... feeling a little trepidation, but also felt it with Paltrow playing Emma, and that turned out pretty good... then again the '95 miniseries is one of my faves (coincidentally in the middle of watching it for, like, the 100th time), so then again maybe it won't turn out so good.

Meanwhile, back at the Hall of Justice...

uhhh... I think I killed it... oh well, off to finish P&P (Colin Firth... drool). Have a (insert adjective of choice here) weekend all.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Hmm. Trying to be open-minded, but can't imagine anything replacing the '95 miniseries as the OTP&P adaptation.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I have just spent over $200 on books in the Dealers' Room at Malice Domestic. There are still two days left of the con.(I'm commuting as it is in Arlington, VA) Help me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just finished Val McDermid's The Mermaids Singing. ita, did you say you didn't realize the author was a woman? That's funny in light of the big reveal in the book, huh?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gah! Can't read the white font, since the book is lying at my feet, currently unopened.

This weekend. Will complete.
