I love Jilli's whitefonted idea a few posts back. I'm so curious to know Snape's whole story.
I don't think I've ever posted in this thread, but I'm hoping y'all can help me remember the title of some books I read as a kid. It was a story (or maybe a short series) about a brother and sister with some sort of mental powers. They were on their own, running away from someone, and were looking for their parents or their people. I think the title maybe had "Mountains" in it and it might have been made into a kids movie. I know this is really vague, but I can't remember any more except that I loved the story.
escape to witch mountain by Alexander Key
and there was an awful Disney movie "based" on the book "Escape to Witch Mountain." Tony and Tia, the psychic twins.
I never read the book and remember loving the movie. Something about the children's rooms they are given by the evil man has stayed with me as a vague memory and visual trigger. I should probably re-watch to figure it out.
I really loved that Tia could unlock doors, but only if she had good intentions.
I suppose I thought the movie was awful because it wasn't the book, which I had loved.

The movie is never as good as the book. (which was also my answer if people asked why I hadn't seen The Passion)
Thanks, msbelle - now I know why you are everyone's favorite! This has been bugging me for weeks. Now, I'm going to have to go buy it and reread it.

Steph - love this and I plan to use it.
(that was Vortex, actually)
I loved
Escape to Witch Mountain!
Never read the book though. Perhaps I should.
