Serial: Okay, so I got a bit carried away with screencapping. 111 images of downloaded-and-blown-up Serenity trailer, and doubtless a few gaps to fill. I won't upload them all unless someone's terribly interested, because they take forever to upload, but here are a few highlights (I've left the 'trimmings' on at this stage because the times help me place things in the reel):

Oddity: I can't find where the Reaver image is from. I am expecting it to be in the trailer, right? Also, I'm saying 'right?' too often, which means I'm starting to fear I'm talking to an empty room, and therefore should shut up now.

The Reaver appears, for just a flash, at around the 32/33 second mark. It's so fast that I missed it the first few times too.

I'm intrigued by the shot after that. It appears to be River, and in one frame she's on one side of the screen, and then the next she's the other. Bit like that creep little girl in the Ring ::shudders::

In that shot of possibly Inara, it looks as though there's people in the background, all sat on yoga mats, or something, watching. So maybe she's giving a Companion seminar on good technique or something!

And yes, Mike, this movie is going to give us some very cool River moments-- perhaps aided by SG's dancing background; there are shots (the clinging shot, for example) that look quite ballet-ish to me, not that I'm an expert.

Some on-set photos have surfaced. Dabblers who regard costumes as spoilers may want to avoid clicking.

Is there any hope that one of Simon's might be Jayne's pajama tops?

Matt, I'm sad to say I can't see Simon at all.

We're looking at a "ghost town", right? A planet where something has killed all the people, or all the people in this city, so that they've died and lain where they fell. They're all on the same set, I'm fairly sure-- in #3, you can see the stylised-solar-system-thing from #0, the method-of-transport from #1, and the body from #4. I can't place the dead guy in #2 in #3, but given the similarities between #2 and #4, I'm going to take a wild guess and say they were struck down by the same kind of thing. Though #2's position is interesting; he (wild guess on gender there; I'm called #2 he and #4 she, purely on the basis of dress) fell down backwards, as if facing a blast or gun when it went off.

#5 is the camera crew facing either an entranceway or a spaceship that crashed into a building; #6 is the crew again, with (I think) Inara, Mal, and Joss just visible in the background (is that Joss, behind, just between the two techy-looking people wearing jeans? Can someone confirm that for me?); and in #7 we have probably-Inara, and definately Mal. Rather hidden tightpants! happy dance
