A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Yeah, it sounds to me like Kayrilee.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Isn't he speaking to Kaylee?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I wonder who would write a story where one character is named, say, Bob, and a second character is introduced to us named Larry, except that Larry's real name is actually Dob?

That is to say, despite the fact so many Firefly names are really obvious nouns, they aren't all really obvious nouns that are easily mistaken for one another when spoken aloud. I think you are only allowed to do that on television if you are working with Larry, Daryl and Daryl, and then only if the Daryls don't speak.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Or on Wonderfalls.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Just listened again. I know it isn't, but it still sounds like Jerry Lee to me. Oh well.

I remember Joss saying in an interview way long ago that he gave his character's names with clearly different vowels sounds. Now I think about that whenever I sound out character names in my head. It's a really effective way of distinguishing between characters.

Except when one of the actors kinda slurs someone's name in an odd way.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

It sounds like he was starting to say "Jewel" then switched to "Kaylee" at the last possible second.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

...Larry, Daryl and Daryl, and then only if the Daryls don't speak.

Or only speak during the finale episode.

About the "Kaylee - Jerry Lee" thing.. Wasn't Mal all drugged up after kissing Saffron at this stage? That would explain the slurring.

Sorry, don't have the DVDs on me to confirm. Will be getting them as soon as they are on sale in Aus.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

Chris B just posted the new blog over at the Serenity site.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Reference? Did this happen on Buffy?

Woops. Tardy reply. Jon B, that flub is from Angel 1.8 "I Will Remember You". The actual flub was DB: "Please, Sarah, Pleaseā€¦" as the clock ticked down to the last few seconds of their stolen day.
