Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm shocked and amazed that the script isn't floating around the 'net. Maybe it is, just not where I travel.

I'm surprised too, Allyson. I've seen nary a spoiler. Of course I haven't looked either.

You know, we could experiment and cancel football.

There is a long time to go and lots more opportunities for it to get out. I hope Joss wrote the master version in invisible ink or some high tech alternative.

It's gotta be out. Though I'm unsure if there's the rabid need for spoilers the way there was for Buffy and Angel.

Do you think that Serenity fans are more spoilerphobic or just smaller in numbers?

Allyson, there's an unspoilery review (believe it or not) at AICN. I don't know what Joss is holding over people's head that somewhere like AICN would post a script review without revealing plot points.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

AICN script review. He's quite assiduous about being unspoilery.

He does post one Mal/Wash exchange -- Wash still seems huggable.

Smaller in numbers, haven't been around nearly as long. I still think of them as a fandom in its infancy that was sort of hobbled by the quick demise of the show.

It should be noted that I'm terribly biased toward the Buffy fandom, crazy as they make me.

Of course you are but, you never seem to slight the Firefly fandom.

Thanks for that.

Do people usually slight the fandom? I often wonder if the Firefly fandom feels like the bastard step-child of the Whedonverse fandoms.

I think of Firefly as Joss' favoritist child, the baby.

The fandom never got the attention that Buffy fans received in the beginning, when Joss was younger, had more hair on his head and less on his face, and was less busy.

I do have serious eye-roll moments with the Firefly fandom, though not the blind rage I feel toward the Buffy/Angel fandoms.

But I get my share of blind rage and eye-rolls directed at me, so we're all probably even.
