No. And yes. It's always sudden.

Having watched Trash, I now feel that Joss should pitch a new show for the next fall season. It's a wacky comedy about a husband and wife team that travel around outer space committing various crimes and misdemeanors. At the end of every episode, they double and triple cross each other.

Oh! They could pitch it to Fox with an audience participation element. The TV viewers get to vote on who comes out on top at the end, Mal or YoSafBridge.

I can see the promos now...

OK, not having seen TRASH, is this a recommendation or a dis? And at Fox or ME?

It's a recommendation of the episode. As usual, any praise of a FF episode comes complete with the Daily Recommended Allowance of disdain toward Fox.

Oh well, I figure that's a given. There's SO much Fox deserves the abuse for (The Tick, Action, Futurama - the trail of the dead and dying goes on).

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

FOX really can't win though—consider the genre show that they did give time to garner an audience, and then kept on the air years and years and years after it should have been put out of our misery.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Heh - I was thinking about adding a comment about X-Fliles, and how Fox probably demanded certain things that ended up ruining the show, but then I figured - Why let Chris Carter off the hook for anything. He definitely Peter-principled himself, so why blame the suits.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Just watched Heart of Gold.

Interesting musical note: The whore who sings at the end is Angie Hart, who also sang in "Conversations With Dead People". She used to be in the Australian band "Frente!"

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

So, I just watched "Trash".

Can I exchange Inara for Saffron? I love her, from the tips of her treacherous curls, down to her deceitful little pinky toes. The actress who plays her's got way more chemistry with NF than Morena B. (Although I did sense better-than-usual UST in the shuttle scene between Mal and Inara.)

I loved the knocked-down, dragged-out hissy fights between Mal and Saffron at the beginning. Like a couple of schoolyard kids they were. They make such a fun team, full of snark, vinegar, and backstabbing. I am also hugely pleased at the way Jayne's betrayal in "Ariel" was handled by Simon--I now love Simon even more than I did, if such a thing was possible.

What I wouldn't give to have been present when they were shooting the Naked-Mal scene the end! I dunno how the rest of the team could stop breaking down in laughter long enough to film the scene. And the shit-eating grin on Mal's face as Serenity's door was closing.... just delightful stuff.

Man, I love this show.
