Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

If it makes anyone feel better, none of this'll happen for five hundred years or so, so if we're long-lived enough and can plan ahead very, very well we can avert this disaster.

Yes, because we know from experience how well trying to avert prophecies in something written by Joss Whedon goes....

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Wash is not dead. Wash will not be dead until Sept 30

Heh. This answers an interesting "When is canon really canon?" question I had in my head.

Also, Frank, I'd love to say I could do something this weekend, but we're going into the Big Sale on Monday, thus making the next several days likely hellish.

Stoopid job.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

All I can say is if I end up stuck with a bratty medically-impossible miracle child because someone else had to monkey around with a prophecy, there will be Hell. To. Pay.

'S cool, Lilty. It's going to be a hit&run sort of weekend, so I'm not sure how much time outside of family and errands I'm going to have. I think I'm going to stop in at The Great Lost Bear sometime 7-ish tonight for a burger and a couple of beers on my way through Portland, but I'm not even sure about that at this point.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think I'm going to stop in at The Great Lost Bear

I've been there, lots, and Tom Scola was there once too!

That's right - you usually do a summer vacation Down East, don't you?

Plus I used to work at the Law School, a few blocks away from the Great Lost Bear, and live even closer.

Hey. New board.

Joyce. Tara. Doyle. Jenny.

Yes.

ETA: I suppose I could be misunderstanding your question.

"When I look at people that I would like to feel have been a mentor or an inspiring kind of archetype of what I'd love to see my career eventually be mentioned as a footnote for in the same paragraph, it would be, like, Bowie." ~Trent Reznor

Buffy, Spike, and Angel were the people sfmarty was probably referencing there. Let's put it this way--if you don't die cataclysmically/superdramatically, you aren't coming back, and even then it's 50/50, I'd say.
