That wasn't so bad! Thirteenth colony=Earth, Kobol predates us both.
Boxed Set, Vol. 1: Smallville, Due South, Farscape
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much anything else that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
That wasn't so bad!
Only someone who's never seen the actual series could say that with a straight face.
Hey, I didn't ask what happened in the series. I just needed to know what the damned Kobol/going to Earth stuff meant for the characters. For all I know, it has been answered in BSG 2004, and I just missed it.
For anyone that's watched episode 11: Were you disappointed by the sexualising of the Starbuck/Apollo? I mean, she was engaged to his brother, looks up to his dad like he's already her father in law ... I was kinda hoping that if they were going to go there, it'd at least be from his PoV first. Also, it'd have been nice if she could be a wee bit less guilty about casual sex, although it doesn't seem the community at large is relaxed about it, so perhaps not. Oh, and I loved Grace Park! Great work.
They may go in an entirely different direction for the new series though. I seem to recall the producers disavowing the 1980 series once they sobered up.
Okay, then does anyone know, in the original series, or in this one, what they established about Earth and Kobol? I assumed the existence of the LJ community 13th_colony suddenly made sense, but who knows?
BG got good ratings Friday night.

Per the mini-series, Kobol is where they all came from and Earth is a legendary thirteenth colony.
Thanks, Katie. I found the miniseries very confusing, but that may have been all on me.
It's theoretically possible I picked that up from discussion, mind you.
Hmmm, there's going to be a 3 Musketeers series on PAX.
