Hey, I didn't ask what happened in the series. I just needed to know what the damned Kobol/going to Earth stuff meant for the characters. For all I know, it has been answered in BSG 2004, and I just missed it.
For anyone that's watched episode 11: Were you disappointed by the
sexualising of the Starbuck/Apollo? I mean, she was engaged to his brother, looks up to his dad like he's already her father in law ... I was kinda hoping that if they were going to go there, it'd at least be from his PoV first. Also, it'd have been nice if she could be a wee bit less guilty about casual sex, although it doesn't seem the community at large is relaxed about it, so perhaps not.

They may go in an entirely different direction for the new series though. I seem to recall the producers disavowing the 1980 series once they sobered up.

Per the mini-series, Kobol is where they all came from and Earth is a legendary thirteenth colony.

Have you seen ads for it? It looks AWFUL. Like they are trying to do a whole series in the style of A KNIGHT'S TAIL, and then doing a half-assed job of it. Given that I couldn't bring myself to watch AKT, I'd guess nightmare isn't even close to an overstatement.
