He was a popular soap character a hundred years ago. Mr. Sheffield was his character on The Nanny. If you've never seen him, well, you haven't missed much in terms of the show anyway. He's quite likable, though.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Lots of *headdesk* moments in this one. On the plus side, everyone looked very hot, except for some of Sam's civilian outfits. She used to have such good taste! Dude, what's up with the pink tweed?
