Besides, didn't Robo-Jack die? I think he did.
I can handwave the daylight arrivals as them finding out what time it is from the MALP. And I've given up on the translation thing. But what Jack got from the Ancients was purely data, I thought, not new paranormal abilities.
I dunno. It's too close to magic being exhibited by a normal human for me to swallow. ::shrugs::
Maybe the data is how to work our natural abilities to ... I dunno.
I hateHATEhated the implication that Jack has a special brain/genetics (that was mentioned in the Jack 2.0 episode). Keep him normal, thanks. (Though not dumb, RDA, if you could)

Wordy mcWord, ita. To all of the above.
I read a story this week that I really liked because Jack was smart, in the way he should be, about leadership and stuff. Of course, it derailed in the last 15K into really soppy slash. But the setup was good.
I still got the impression that Jack was the first one they'd found of humans with the right brain chemestry, Frankly, I think it was the the mind dump that altered Jack's mind to be able to deal.
Maybe Loki had the right idea. If the Asgard were to check more people...maybe they would find more like Jack.
Maybe Jack's generation is the culmination of the Earth's programming by Deep Thought.
Jack is Arthur Dent.
See? it all fits.
No, they call him a significant step in evolution -- they knew this because he could carry and use the data. His condition predated the dump.
Well, when was the last time any humans tried to carry the Ancients' database? Maybe it was 15,000 years ago and nobody'd tried since...
I was guessing that Loki only knew that Jack was "special" because he found out that he'd downloaded the ancients. But that that's what he'd been testing for when he was capturing people.
I loved the bits of that ep that weren't so much about alien abduction. I'm still reeling over how great a Jack that kid did. Maybe too good -- were any of us that "us" that early on?

Wait -- Jack Handey is on Stargate?
Singular, not plural.
