Also, do we know how Dr. Swann got the key? I'm very confused by the whole episode, whose name escapes me right now. I think I'll call it The One Where Clark Rips Open Lex's Shirt.
No, they didn't explain how Dr. Swann got the key. I think he must have had some kind of device surreptitiously set up in the cave to capture it if it was used again, but there is no evidence for that.
Did anybody else wince when Chloe asked Lionel for the truth about him murdering his parents? I thought it was a really dumb thing to do, and it was capped off by the "I've saved the answer on my voice mail, so it's ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY SAFE with no possibility that the powerful head of an evil conglomerate can get to it and erase it, no sir".
I mean, Clark is usually the dumbest person on the show, right? What happened here?
Well, she was also confused as to why no one wanted to talk to her (or trust her with sensitive information) and she thinks truth is a complete defense to anything she does.
Not to mention her repeated appearances in the "lesson, doesn't learn her" file.
More proof that she grows up to be Lois Lane.
I dunno -- growing up seems to be contraindicated.
That belongs in Minearverse where Tim can click on it.
re: tonight's smallville
Little!Lex is creeping me out!! But not as much as Lionel's wig is.
SMACKS FOREHEAD
The absolute perversity of casting Terrence Stamp as Jor-El just friggin' hit me. Color me stupid. Possibly stupider than Clark. Duh.

So, Ben is Glory? Lana's Parents are Dead? Perverse Casting, Thy Name is Smallville?
