Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Mostly I'm "WOW. They look hot ...
I just stopped there. And then went to watch Shanks do *anything* in sleevelessness. It is a simple plan, but it works for me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, and hey, Dana, if you want me to run a copy of Abyss for you when it comes around again on syndication I'd be happy to. Assuming they're going in order, it should be two or three weeks.

Theoretically, I ought to be able to catch it myself, then. Syndication here is something absurd like 12:00AM Saturday. Hmm...

Thrive to spite them

Did SG-1 ever come up for a way around being all frosty after going thorugh the Stargate, or was that something that was just dropped? I hadn't thought about it at all until last night when Sam got all science-y and explained it.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Nah, they just dropped it.

Oh, also, the last episode of last night's run? Emancipation. Emancipation is a very bad episode. I mean, watch it if you want to, but man, bad. Very, very bad.

Which one is Emancipation?

And also, they put her in a really horrible dress, with puffed sleeves and a conehat.

Cass! My sister in sleeveless love!

Sam Brings Feminism To The Mongols.

Ah, yes. One of the first episodes I ever saw. No wonder I thought terrible things about the show. In their defense, it's early season 1 right? Sort of like Jeremiah Crichton, then.

Still. Fairly terrible.

It's pretty much the first episode after the pilot (if you consider both "Children of the Gods" and "The Enemy Within" the pilot, as I do). And yet, quite possibly the worst episode in the whole series, what with one thing and another. If only Daniel had been sleeveless.
