So help me, I've already started writing SG1 fic. (Gen, as is per usual for me, but still...)
Gen is a marvelous thing, as far as I'm concerned.
(And ha! Seriously, I have no idea why half the world is falling into SG, but it's highly entertaining. Is it partly that it's the Only Genre Show Left Standing, I wonder?)
I think it's also the constant reruns (6 seasons of them!) on SciFi that's helping the most. And the DVDs are right out there if you want to watch them in a more coherent fashion.
Gen is fine by me, too. I don't see the slash on the show, except for Carter/O'Neill.
Well, unless you're talking about Jacob Carter...
(I hasten to add that I don't know anyone who's tried to slash Jacob and Jack.)

Just as well. It's creepy, and I'd happily slash Jack Bristow and Michael Vaughn.
On related slashy notes -- amchau is writing Thor/Jack. That's so wrong.
I, on the other hand, am curious about Jacob/Bra'tac.
Thor/Jack is seriously just this side of canon. I mean, come on. The handholding! The refusal to abandon each other! The spaceship named after Jack!
I mean, I'm pretty sure it's mostly just Thor with a crush, but still.
Heh, heh. Choking on grapes here.
OK ... need a little terminology help. Gen?

No sex. Especially no creepy alien sex.
Shame on you, Katie.
General fiction. Usually means fiction where romance is not an important part, though depending on the fandom it might just mean there's no explicit sex.
