Heh. I like the variable pronunciations. It's the sort of thing that happens in real life, since different people have different abilities to hear and reproduce the nuances of another language.
Meanwhile, I'm contemplating committing fic. SG1-Discworld crossover. Yet another bunny to add to the overflowing hutch.

I do have to admit, I like it that Jack generally doesn't bother with the correction pronunciation. He seems to mostly say Go-oold, sometimes even goold.

Kinsey always says "goold". Funny thing, of course -- the apostrophe in goa'uld makes sense to me, but the one in Teal'c? I think that was just Jack acting up.

I, apparently, am Frank. (Although, I bet he hasn't had trouble getting the PK Tech Girl DVD, like I have. Makes understanding some of the plot points more fill-in-the blank than I think they're supposed to be.) At one point, I thought, "I wonder if John's wearing a black shirt this ep." as I had not noticed. And then the next scene came up, and he was, and then the scene continued, and I thought, "oh, so that's what they mean by a black-shirt episode." Not gonna be there for a good long while (getting Homicide next), but should I watch Season 4, despite the problematic?
Finally get the comfy chair line wrt Farscape (I already knew the Python).
And the pronunciation conversation is cracking me up.

As counterpoint, if you're emotionally attached to the Aeryn Sun of the preceding seasons, season four will hit you like a mace in the gut -- and the changes seem to be for no good reason.
