Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Everyone together now: Poor Martouf.

Aw, man, no more taunting? Okay. I'm just sayin', good scene.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Morior salutat

Huh? What does this mean? Is this, like "Last look before death" or something? t /ignorant of all things Latin. Well, I think it's Latin but I could be mistaken there

I do love that look dearly. Plus, "Well, maybe it'll help Carter. Her brain is worth a lot more than mine." It's the rueful smile on his face during that last line that absolutely kills me. It's one of my favorite J/S bits ever, despite the fact I'm not too fond of the actual Zay'tac-induced confessions that come later.

The penultimate scene in Solitudes (which is not really all that shippy), with Jack telling the story of his escape from the Iraqui prison and later on, Sam saying, "I'm here, Jack. You can sleep now." to the unconscious Jack is still my top J/S moment in the series, I think. Well, that or the cabin scene in 2010, except Sam's looped dialogue there drives me nuts.

ETA: Yeah, Katie. Dude! With the taunting! Eeevil.

Also: Poor Martouf.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

MoriorMorituri te salutat, in my pidgin latin, means "He who is about to die (willingly) salutes you"

Once is cute, twice is an issue. And even cuter.

I haven't seen Solitudes twice. I thought I'd seen everything before this season twice. Now I need to find out when it's on.

The 2010 exchange is good too -- I watch pretty much the entire thing on my "good bits rewatch." I love watching those guys die.

Yeah, the confession itself is a bit clunky. But the devotion they all have to each other, and the privation in its face -- makes me weak.

I noticed in "Divide & Conquer" that Sam looms over Dr. Fraiser. How cute. Poor Janet.

Also ... poor Martouf.

I think that's why D&C works for me - because they're all involved. A lot of the time, the J/S ends up off in a room somewhere, and while I wouldn't mind that if I found JackandSam interesting, I just... don't. So I'm forever thinking "oh, god, with the Romance again? Go away! Shoo!" Whereas in D&C it's intertwined with other stuff, and other relationships.

I blame Te's "Joe Dick: Seekrit Woobie" icon for that.

I love Joe Dick so much.

Whoa. Who said only fanfic authors put Lex in a loin cloth, dog collar, and a gag?

I love my dead gay bondage fun comics!

takes a moment to imagine MR as Lex in that scene

realises Lionel is then the one with the leash

I have a plan.

Well, I'm off for a few days and come back to find everybody's Woobie crazy.

I'm telling Chewie.

Big Stargate ep tonight, there should be a parade.

Oof. You all are killing me. That, plus the "Jack O'Neill moments," plus Martouf's "Samantha ..." (awww, Martouf). Sigh. I even liked the revelatory bits by J/S at the end. Said it before, say it again, I'm a sap. But not all that shippy. It's the team.

Big Stargate ep tonight, there should be a parade.

And poems and songs.
