Clark traveling at those speeds should trip and find out he can fly.

First - why put Lana in a place that Adam will think of? They could have stashed her at Pete's house. Or Chloe could have told Adam that she had Clark's truck because he was with her at the high school, and that they'd taken Lana to Lex's house because he has the whole security system. Adam would know that Lana and Lex knew each other, and just the size alone of Lex's house could keep him busy for hours.
The whole "I called you at the Centre because I knew you were there" thing?
Silly. Why didn't she also know he had no idea where she was?
I expect stupidity from Lana - odds were that the center was a misdial and she was actually trying to call Miss Cleo. But Chloe is supposed to be smarter.
I liked the episode, but maybe I'm just easy to please. Chloe had something to do, Clark wasn't SuperSelfRighteousAnnoyingMan, and it was a great resolution to the Adam storyline (even if I do want Lana to like someone who is neither Clark nor Evil soon, just because Clark needs to deal.).
But I *like* time travel as a premise.
Chloe is supposed to be smarter.
Absolutely. I mean, look at her FBI-level audio file cleanup.
Which Clark later did too.
I realise that Smallville is ruining Supes for me. Not only do I feel empathy for Lex Luthor that I shouldn't but I'm forgetting that Superman is brilliant.
But I *like* time travel as a premise.
So do I. I just thought this instantiation of it made no sense.
I never really thought of Superman as supersmart - he didn't need to be since he had pretty much every other ability and just the one weakness (also he couldn't stand kryptonite.) It was superheroes like Batman and Spider-Man who were cerebrally strong.
Well, Clark Kent should have the curiosity and smarts that get him to be a journalist. . . and it's very easy to forget that when you watch Smallville.
I never really thought of Superman as supersmart
Me neither, but I was just reading about him today, and I may have to chalk that up to my biases. He was, however, nowhere near as dumb as Clark.
just the one weakness
Magic?
It was superheroes like Batman and Spider-Man who were cerebrally strong.
I never thought of Spidey as bright either, which is why I can't be trusted.
what I think would have been logical is for Lana and clark to stay together. that would have foiled things.
however, mostly I am curious because there was no expalation fo the time travel.
of course I also wondered what would have happened if Lana hadn't put on the sweater.
