Chloe is supposed to be smarter.
Absolutely. I mean, look at her FBI-level audio file cleanup.
Which Clark later did too.
I realise that Smallville is ruining Supes for me. Not only do I feel empathy for Lex Luthor that I shouldn't but I'm forgetting that Superman is brilliant.
But I *like* time travel as a premise.
So do I. I just thought this instantiation of it made no sense.
I never really thought of Superman as supersmart - he didn't need to be since he had pretty much every other ability and just the one weakness (also he couldn't stand kryptonite.) It was superheroes like Batman and Spider-Man who were cerebrally strong.
Well, Clark Kent should have the curiosity and smarts that get him to be a journalist. . . and it's very easy to forget that when you watch Smallville.
I never really thought of Superman as supersmart
Me neither, but I was just reading about him today, and I may have to chalk that up to my biases. He was, however, nowhere near as dumb as Clark.
just the one weakness
Magic?
It was superheroes like Batman and Spider-Man who were cerebrally strong.
I never thought of Spidey as bright either, which is why I can't be trusted.
what I think would have been logical is for Lana and clark to stay together. that would have foiled things.
however, mostly I am curious because there was no expalation fo the time travel.
of course I also wondered what would have happened if Lana hadn't put on the sweater.
Spidey was a science nerd - plus, with his set of powers, you need to be able to figure out how they can actually be used in each situation - shooting webs out of one's hands or wrists doesn't apply to as many situations as just being impermeable to bullets and the like.
Spidey was a science nerd
In high school. Who wasn't?
[rhetorical, please don't answer]
Mr. Fantastic -- that's a brainiac. Batman, all sorts of mad skills.
But there are tons of heroes and villains who don't possess a fraction of Superman's skills and get along just fine with a mostly average IQ.
Admittedly, he did create the web serum himself. As I said, my biases.
Superman, apparently, is canonically bright.
Admittedly, he did create the web serum himself.
Not in the movie. Grumblegrumble.
t /Spidey purist
Not in the movie.
Remind me -- how did that go? And did you see they're in talks for Spidey 3? I want my X3, dammit.
Spiderman has funny lines in the comics. Good comic timing's smart.
