Ken, I wasn't particularly interested (actually I was enthusiastically uninterested) until I rented the first season from Netflix. Seeing them in order (uh, except for Emancipation, which I highly recommend skipping) does help a little, even though they've got a lot of non-arc episodes.

well, i will watch, but in the morning when my brain is in low gear. It is much better that way. Even if a large truck were to drive though the screen I wouldn't see the plot hole left behind.
