Watched the OC last night. Realized that Ryan reminds me of a pint-sized and blonde Russell Crowe. He's got that wary-wounded-glower thing. Still not used to all the moms looking like they're 22. I liked Anna. She's slots nicely as the Chloe-girl here.

Is that standard knowledge? It was just trying to figure out why it was bugging me so much until I realized it.
And the "before their time" issue is still bothering me. If the guy is a firefighter, he chose a job that could result in him dying young. If they'd made it about the little girl who didn't choose to be related to a pyromaniac, it would have been more palatable. But Dushku probably has something in her contract now about no love scenes with females of any age.
And will there be no follow-up on Rebecca Morgan? This pregnancy probably isn't going to help her dancing career, and her waittressing job might make it very difficult to support a baby. And the father of the baby can't stand her. There's a happy ending.
Deb called him the love child of Nathan Fillion and Russell Crowe, and that's perfect. The press has been asking him about the Crowe thing for a while. What in god's name is he to say?
Madrigal -- I think "before their time" is shorthand for unnatural causes.

"Bud, I have special need of your talents."

Since pre-show-debut, a-yup. The media licked him up like a smart little blond Crowelet.
Oh, yes, thanks for reminding me, Hec. Anna is awesome. Love her hair, her little 80's retro outfits (okay, they're a little scary sometimes), and as the one who wants Seth but can't have him, don't we all identify? (we=people who want Seth, of course)
I'm just hoping for a "Some Kind of Wonderful" plot turn, that's all.
I don't get the Crowe/Mackenzie thing, I really don't. Crowe has the glower, but not much of the "I'm only glowering b/c I'm a puppy afraid of being hurt again" thing. Remind me, was Crowe a hurt puppy in LA Confidential?

Oh yeah, he was wounded unto his soul. He was a man in pain, hence the hitting.
was Crowe a hurt puppy in LA Confidential?
In an irretreivably previously damaged way, yes.

See, I like Summer now, so like K*t!ganker, I'm not sure what I want.
I think Benjamin looks like Russell did with a lower fat %age, and they kinda hulk, although McK is wee. Not so much with the acting.
Unlike many, I think Ben does pretty well with the acting. Has some "wow, first TV" hiccoughs, but I'm totally adoring the character. His main problem is Adam Brody, who's just continually on fire. AB's the lynchpin of the show, what elevates it above what it probably was on paper.
