Like I said, it's as though they cut a scene.
I kind of like it left to the imagination. Something significant had to have happened, I think. Therefore, creepy. Sort of.
I also doubt it will be explained later.
[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

I think that goody-two shoes was just putting on a brave front, but when push came to shove she freaked out.

I don't like everything to be spelled out, but this was missing all the consonants as well as the vowels. Megan's theory is a good one. I just wish they'd spent 15 seconds on it.
In Spoilage Lite, Laura mentioned something I'd forgotten: Joyce's appearances. I liked 'em. She only ever appeared in Buffy's dreams, which makes me think that she's an avatar for TPTB, not for the first. But that doesn't mean that the "Joyce" who appeared to Dawn in CwDP was Of The Good.
I'm enjoying the confusion. :)
I'm enjoying the confusion. :)Me too! Oh, so much. It's nice to have all this company here, BTW.
On the whole I found a lot more to like than dislike. Bottom line, I liked the concepts but not so much the execution. A few too many annoying details.
The Spike drowning business was just plain weird. Drusilla wasn’t herself, but that makes sense. FE Buffy wasn’t herself with Spike either. Guess Dru doesn’t know the lyrics to the song to get Spike to do what she wants.
Loved the Principal Wood and Joyce scenes. Like how they are both being presented as possibly being on either side. Hit all the right notes for me in those scenes.
I found the leaving the question of Giles being dead or alive being left open more blatant. No doubt in my mind that it is a deliberate fake out and he is quite alive. Which of course means he is probably dead.
The heavy handed music has been bothering me for a while and I always hate the preaching scenes. Buffy’s scene at the end was way too much for me.
Agreed on the out of nowhere proto-slayer jumping ship. Sloppy.
Annoyed by the details, but I really liked the arc progression.
Of course I am hours late for the AC discussion, stupid car shopping.
Chatty McChattersons, you are.
Megan, I won't be downtown again until Friday 7pm - but if you want the postcards let me know.
Giles didn't touch anyone - Buffy was interrupted by the protoSlayers when she went to hug him. He didn't knock. He didn't carry. He didn't give her a hand up when she was struggling to get out of the pit.
I think that he's dead.

That's cause of us mock-Haligonians (who probably can't even spell).
I think that he's dead.
Although, the point was made in the main thread - how did he get across the Atlantic without handing someone a passport or ticket?
He's non-corporeal, what does he need with a stinking passport? The CoW sent the girls to Sunnydale (Quentin ordered that before he went all extra-crispy) and 'Giles' met them at the airport.
I totally think he's dead. There is no way that he could have survived that beheading from the Harbringers. The guy was in full swing so unless Giles has a metal head, he was definitely a goner.
then again, I could be totally wrong.
My kittens are on dead but a good guy. Same with Joyce.
