When I was there last week it wasn't open yet since the canal wasn't quite frozen yet. It was -40C there yesterday so it probably is good and solid now!
Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness
[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!
$23.28!!! No wonder AirCanada is going bankrupt.
I thought they were going bankrupt from it costing $500 to fly every/anywhere and the customer service that incites one to ultraviolence, but maybe that's just my each and every experience.
I was in Ottawa last week. Bundle up! It was -22C. It's a beautiful city though so you'll have a great time.
Allow me to reiterate the bundling suggestion. Second coldest national capital on Sol III. Especially down by the Rideau, although that's usually for Winterlude in February. It's probably a balmy -17C in Ottawa this week since the cold snap uh, snapped. [Just checked weathernetwork.com for the Siberawa temps]
I didn't know FAQ Girl was Canadian. We probably know her, y'know.

You should've read the FAQ.

Perhaps there should be a repost for the skimming-enhanced, IJS. Does she know my sister's best friend's cousin from Almonte? Has she been to Russell, where my old neighbour grew up and brought us bricks from the factory there? Did she go to school with the younger sister of my college roomie from Kanata? Is she too young to mourn the passing of the House of SF? Does she know Charles and Maryann?
And other questions too frequent to ask for someone neither in Boston, nor Ottawa, alas. (I have dear people in Ottawa, it is often in my thoughts)
Ottawa's the prettiest boring place I've been, or the boringest pretty place. Nice to visit, but even after having lived there I forget other people do.
We lived across the road from some park with a river, and every Christmas I came home from Montreal (also pretty, less picturesque) we'd be able to watch huge snowflakes settle on pine trees and a very charming winter scene.
And then the next day I'd go back to Montreal and get hammered. Whee!

On this point, I am ita.

Ha! They live across the street from my aunt and uncle. Despite this, I have never met them.

It depends on what kind of price you paid and where you are in your journey. It goes up if it's the second part of a return trip and if you've already travelled the first leg.

There's a reason they call it Not a Lot.

I got the cheapest fair class -- the "fun fair" -- which I assumed had the most restrictions.

Thanks for the repost, Jon. I appear to have glossed over FAQ Girl's Canadianness. This is unlike me. (I used to be a DJ. I can spot CanCon over satellite feed)

I've met them numerous times over the years. They are both very sweet. They have a yard sale every year and sell off all the stuff that Charles has been sent to review over the year. One of these years, I'll go.

Yeah, the streets do roll up between 5-7pm, especially downtown.
I just checked my WestJet flight information since I'm going to Ontario today and I notice that the cancellation/change fee is only $30.00. Maybe it's a competition thing?
Sue! How's mom and dad?
