Inara: Who's winning? Simon: I can't tell. They don't seem to be playing by any civilized rules that I know.

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Ottawa's the prettiest boring place I've been, or the boringest pretty place. Nice to visit, but even after having lived there I forget other people do.

Yeah, the streets do roll up between 5-7pm, especially downtown.

I just checked my WestJet flight information since I'm going to Ontario today and I notice that the cancellation/change fee is only $30.00. Maybe it's a competition thing?

Sue! How's mom and dad?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Should FAQ Girl know who Charles and Maryann are, or are you funnin' me?

If she doesn't know Charles and Maryann, she might know Bill from Kapuskasing.

You're making this shit up, right?

I can't even.

I'm from Kapuskasing, so sure as shit, I know Bill.

Canada is definitely smaller than you think.

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

t takes pity on Jon Charles & Maryann are the fantasy writer Charles deLint and his wife Maryann Harris. They are also both traditional musicians and general social butterflies on the SF scene. If FAQ Girl is into SF at all she might know them or of them.

Also, if she's from Ottawa, she might know my brother Ted who works for PWGS. Ask her!

Thanks you Dani, and pthhhhhht to the rest of ya.

She knows of Charles Delint.

She knows no one at PWGS.

Backatcha.

See, Canadians expect to be one or two degrees of separation away from everyone else. More than that and we start to feel a little isolated and edgy. So if I know Charles and FAQ Girl knows Charles, we're good. Just knowing of Charles means we need another link.

You'll do, but you'll have to move to Kanata. Or Manotick. Maybe Nepean.

This would put you WAY to close to the members of LOVERBOY for my peace of mind.

Or Celine, for that matter.
