Ed's down with the young'uns. Say WHA?! will be the slogan of the decade, mark me. And not just because it's what my brain says whenever the election comes up.
OI! JohnSweden. Point of interest, I'm going to be in Toronto in the early twenties of this month taking a magical mystery tour of the middle of the country, shutting off the lights before I head back east and such.
Mecha, I'm around all that week. Profile addy is good if you want to begin how to connect process. Perhaps we could hoist a beverage in honour of your return to the only worthy portion of the country.
Dani, you asked this of me in Natter yonks ago:
Megan, what do you consider a quintessentially Canadian first name?
Gordon! That is a very Canadian name for a boy. Gordon Sinclair, Gordon Pinsent, Gordon Downie... very Canadian.
My friend Joanne's (American) fiance has a theory that all Canadian men are (in some cases secretly) named either Gordon or Doug. He wants to get a dog (Basset hound, preferably) and give it both names.
Gordon Douglas or Doug Gordon?
Gordon Douglas or Doug Gordon?
Wow, good question. I have no idea. My preference would be the latter. It has a better ring to it.
I like Gordon Douglas. It sounds more distinguished, and thus more appropriate for the basset hound, who always barks with a British accent.
My inlaws are gone. No blood was shed but I was driven to the gym yesterday morning for some peace and quiet. =)
Today is DH's and my 7th anniversary. where does the time go?
Gordon is indeed v. Canuck, if maybe a little outdated - I don't know any Gordons my age.
I know 2 Dougs and a Dugald, though. Also Bassets named Winnie and Cooper.
Happy anniversary, Megan!
