Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

But she didn't have much to do last night.

Except beating up Spike ... for which I now love her. I want her to do it all the time.

I really enjoyed the episode, and I especially liked the ambiguity of the end. Nora thinks Connor remembers, I think he probably doesn't, and both interpretations are supported.

I see how both can be derived, but I tend to agree with you since a person can't choose to stop being a homocidal maniac, like Connor was before Angel arranged the time shift.

I think he remembers. But his normal upbringing has soften the homicidal kinks. It's a nature/nuture thing, really.

Wesley and Illyria had that scene were they talked about how it's hard to know what memories are real. Those Quartoth memories could seem a liftime away to him. It would depend on how immediate they seem. Or if it's more like a dream

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think Connor definitely remembered. Someone more attentive than me mentioned he talked at the end of the lesson his "father" had taught him, but everywhere before that he'd called his human dad as just that ... "Dad," lending credence to him referring to Angel.

Also, I think it's more likely that false-feeling memories laid on top of an apparently well-balanced and loving childhood would more plausibly result in a resolute but unshattered Connor than he'd coincidentally work out how to fight right as the spell went off.

I think Illyria's purpose this ep (other than gratifying Spike-haters) was to drive Wes mad. I felt that he wouldn't have been so desperated to confront Angel and smash the spell if her corpse hadn't been following him around.

So if Wes, Illyrea, and Connor now remember, then will Connor's parents also know of his origins?

Yeah, what ita said.

Oooh! Good point. I felt bad for Wesley, but at the same time, I don't know if we need anymore tortured Wesley. Has the man been tortured enough?

Also, Adam Baldwin is Creee-pee on Angel.

I think the spell was local -- that's it's only them. Connor will probably be a chip off his father's back, and keep the secret for everyone's own good.

So the time shift will remain, but their memories of the former time were restored.

I'm just glad the Connor cut his hair and was less angry, more teen geeky.

God, yes. I hated most of the old Connor -- I think they made him whiny where he should have been flat out insane.

Dork is a huge improvement.

Oh yes!

Speaking of hair, what is going on with Ryan's on the OC? It's all over the place. I think he needs to visit a certain brooding Angelino to get a few product lessons.
