Anya: Are you stupid or something? Giles: Allow me to answer that question with a firing.

'Sleeper'

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

I can't even.

We get 2 trips out of this - Ottawa in April & Vancouver in June - just for being nominated. Woohoo!

Excellent!

Just ask Adrienne to buy you something. She's got some money to burn, apparently.

Meee-ouch!

(It's just her turn in the barrel. The Neo agenda needs someone to club, and the government is thinking, hey, if it keeps them off our back, the GG can look after herself.)

She always appears to be dressed in a burlap sack with sleeves.

Somewhere John Raulston Saul is going, "Honey, where are those claw marks appearing from?"

False alarm on the Minister's reception, Megan. It was ostensibly to thank a bunch of us budget/policy nerds for the work we did on a recent initiative, but it has been postponed. That is to say, this is all the thanks we are going to get, save for the apologetic email to follow, cancelling the whole thing. Not that I need any thanks, hey, it's like my job and all, but I've been around the block, I know how this stuff works.

Bummer. The only time we meet with the Minister is for briefings (not very many) and the Christmas party that is held in the reception area for an hour the last Thursday before Xmas.

Sue! how are you feeling?

ION, it's raining here now. That brief Orb session we had must have been a mis-allocation and has been withdrawn.

Hmm. I think I have year-end on the brain.

My division is working on finalizing the department business plan and our section in the government business plan. This is hard to do when the final provincial budget has not yet been finished. Seems kinda backasswards.

The minister introduced himself to me on his walkthrough... I think because I have an office so he thought I must have beeen someone.

Pretty good. I'm all sleepy and achy. I could have pushed myself to come to work today, but I said, "meh" instead and slept all morning.

I watched Cash in the Attic this afternoon. There was a woman host, not Alastair. It was quite distressing, and she was pretty boring.

Hee. "We're operating on critical timelines here, people!" Timelines that don't involve synchronizing the actual processes, but never mind. Wordsmith faster, we'll edit at the real deadline. :)

That's just wrong! Silly Cash in the Attic!

Thanks for all the fish.

Dani! Congratulations to your husband... Ottawa in April when? I'll be there from April 30 to May 6... And Mecha is going to be there, too.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Yes, congrats, Dani!

I'm very excited because my friend Joanne is going to be staying in Canada! Her American fiance has decided to move here. They're even looking at apartments in my building. This is kick-ass!

I'm thinking of getting a manicure, in hopes that it will help me break my habit of gnawing on my fingers. Do any of you recommend any place in particular? (Mecha, I'm counting on you.)
