Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I've got Spike to keep Giles occupied.

Yes, but it makes Mecha cranky.

Thanks for all the fish.

It's still funny to taunt him with it.

Are you voting, Trud?

Sofa and chair were delivered. Sofa and chair are being returned because the legs don't fit on properly and there are wrong holes drilled for the legs. Stupid furniture!

Oh dear god! I hope the delivery people were still there when that was discovered! Can Sears fix that?

Megan E. - Mar 17, 2004 9:09:51 am PST #5799 of 6793

Nope they were gone. They have to give us all new furniture and it won't be until next week.

White House links Ontario travel company to Cuba Um... don't all travel agencies in Canada offer trips to Cuba?

The travel agency "provides easy access to U.S. individuals traveling to Cuba," the department said. "U.S. law enforcement officials have intercepted unauthorized travelers whose tour packages were purchased through this travel agency, which uses the Internet to advertise and sell Cuban tourism to the U.S. public."

The department alleged that the travel agency is "controlled by Fidel Castro and his regime."

Thanks for all the fish.

Uh, that's very odd.

What travel agency doesn't go to Cuba? And I don't think that it's their responsibility to keep USians out.

Thanks for all the fish.

Megan, the last piece of furniture we ordered from Sears (a card/bumper pool table) also had wrong holes drilled. Seeing that it was a gift, and see that it was Christmas Eve, B just drilled new holes.

The chair has all the wrong holes and the sofa has just one leg where the screws don't go in correctly. Plus the "chrome" legs are all scratched and banged up. The sales dude is going to get new stuff in, have it shipped to the store first so he can inspect it, and then have it shipped over. In the meantime, we've got the wrong stuff in the living room which helps us to at least make a floor plan.

I met my next door neighbour today on the bus. She seems nice and quiet!
