A woman alone is obviously not buying furniture? I guess.
It wouldn't surprise me if this is the thinking. In fact, today my mother went out and looked at TVs and DVD/VCRs. She came home, told my father what she liked and he went out and bought it. (It's the first new TV they have bought in 27 years). Strange.
Feh, like a woman with three kids (two of them babies) and a husband
gets
any sleep. Ever.
I have had that same problem with salesmen. I have not bought things form stores just because I couldn't get any sales help. I
never
want sales help, so when I want it and they're not pestering me, I get pretty cranky.
Elena, too close to the truth. I got 3 hours last night. Then today I couldn't walk up the stairs and Greg had to come home from work and take care of them. Right now is the longest I've sat up in 2 days.
Poor, sore Deena... You have essential oils, don't you? Does lavander bother you? Rub some on your joints and your temple if it doesn't. If nothing else, it will help relax you.
Megan, Do you use the place at the Square for your alterations? Are they okay? I bought a pair of pants yesterday that are about six inches too long and are cuffed. I could do them myself, but it may be months before I get around to doing it...
Lavender does bother me if it's very strong, but this evening is better. We're about to go snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie, I think.
It's good to see you back, Elena.
This is a nice thread. Thanks for chatting with me this evening, everyone.
It's is a nice thread. If only we could settle on buying a couch for it. I blame Megan.
I like Niagara Falls, Ontario. A fantastic place for you to go.
Snerk.... I grew up 15 minutes from there. We would drive up and down Lundy's Lane and Clifton Hill when we were bored. A lot of friends worked in the cheesey tourist traps.
One friend funded a beautiful stereo system with the US money he bilked from the shop - they gave 15% exchange at the time, but the bank rate was something like 25-30%, so his manager and he would take about half the US cash out of the till each day, make the exchange out of his pocket, go to the bank around the corner and made 10-15 cents per dollar. And each day, they were making between $2000 and $5000 US.
