Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Maybe the US will send it to Siberia, even though it is Canadian, and it will live in a gulag for 10 months.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Out of curiosity, I looked up the weather in Yakutsk, Siberia. It's -30 Farenheit. Just for a little perspective on what's REALLY cold.

However, I'm jealous, as it's a balmy +20 degress Farenheit in Moscow.

Boston's just about halfway between those two. Again.

Thanks for all the fish.

Strikes me that this cold front came up from the Boston States.

Megan, are you away this week at all?

Elena, I got back from my first job fair event yesterday afternoon. I go away again on Thursday.

Thanks for all the fish.

Travelling on the coldest days ever.

Let me tell you, the drive back from Wolfville yesterday was so much fun!

Thanks for all the fish.

Did you play licence plate bingo with your boss?

I'm surprised that cars would start. In SK, where it's routinely ridiculously cold, all cars have block heaters, and you would plug them in whenever you parked them. So all parking lots (at an apartment complex and at many offices) have these outlets and all cars have an extension cord dangling out of the front grill.

Luckily she drove back the night before. I was with co-worker who is much more fun.

I had to drive to the doctor this morning for my shot and I was worried that my car would never warm up, and that it wouldn't start again after getting the needle. Luckily, I got home ok, and the car is happily in the heated garage.

My mom used to have a block heater on some of her older cars. I remember the plug sticking out front, but she only plugged it in at home.

Thanks for all the fish.

Driving in an unheated car. Brrr... That's only marginally better than waiting for a bus. At least the bus is heated.

So, no Angel tonight. Stupid Space!
