Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Thanks for all the fish.

Did you play licence plate bingo with your boss?

I'm surprised that cars would start. In SK, where it's routinely ridiculously cold, all cars have block heaters, and you would plug them in whenever you parked them. So all parking lots (at an apartment complex and at many offices) have these outlets and all cars have an extension cord dangling out of the front grill.

Luckily she drove back the night before. I was with co-worker who is much more fun.

I had to drive to the doctor this morning for my shot and I was worried that my car would never warm up, and that it wouldn't start again after getting the needle. Luckily, I got home ok, and the car is happily in the heated garage.

My mom used to have a block heater on some of her older cars. I remember the plug sticking out front, but she only plugged it in at home.

Thanks for all the fish.

Driving in an unheated car. Brrr... That's only marginally better than waiting for a bus. At least the bus is heated.

So, no Angel tonight. Stupid Space!

Oh dear. Woke up this morning and we have no cold water coming from the taps and I'm so very, very worried that the pipes froze.

Oh no!

I know. I'm so worried. We didn't have the heat down that low last night. 17 upstairs and 15 downstairs. I've turned the heat to 20 on both thermostats and am just crossing my fingers.

Now, I'm really feeling the need to go home and check my pipes...

I'm trying to remember if I turned on the water in the kitchen this morning. Unlikely. The bathroom was still running though.

Thanks for all the fish.

If it's running in one place it'll be fine in other places. Besides, you undoubtedly flushed your toilet, and that's how I first noticed the no water thing.
