Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

'Bushwhacked'

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

Elena, I will join you in the snow-loving camp. t whisper I don't even mind shovelling it. t /whisper OTOH, I could really do without extreme windchill warnings like the one for today & tomorrow.

Thanks for all the fish.

Windchill is not our friend. How many mornings did I walk to school with the 'exposed flesh will freeze in 3 seconds' warning still ringing in my (well-covered) ears.

I don't shovel.

Whoops. Didn't need to be said twice.

hip deep in pie

I don't mind shovelling it as much as walking in it.

Hi Dani!

Small(er) baby vibes to Dani.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Ouise! I LOVE you! You sent me toffee and truffles-- the two best candies KNOWN TO WOMAN.
Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed them. Merry Christmas!

I quite like snow, but I always want to kill people who don't shovel. Like the people who run the church by my bus stop who NEVER EVER shovel. Because they suck. t /shovel rant

I still don't have my Firefly DVDs. They claim to have tried to deliver them yesterday morning, but they LIE. I was there and I wasn't on the phone. Also they left no message or card. Anyway, I'm going to pick it up after work, if it's back at the delivery place yet. If it isn't, it will have to be tomorrow. I wish Futureshop just used the post office. It would be a million times easier to get them. Especially annoying - because they didn't leave a message yesterday, we stayed off the phone and the computer ALL DAY. They say that they came at 11:40. Curse them.

Dani, I'm sending just-right-sized baby vibes. Good luck.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Thanks for the Goldilocks vibes. :-) I'll try to post after the appointment and let you know what the verdict was.

Of course this cold snap hasn't stopped the neighbourhood teenagers from walking to high school in thin jackets with no mitts, scarves, or hats. That's how I know I've reached old-fogeydom: I'd rather have hat head than frostbite on my ears.

Does anyone else remember the Kids in the Hall mock-PSA with Kevin MacDonald standing frozen at a bus stop and the voiceover talking about how many Canadian teenagers die each winter?

I don't think I've seen it, but your little description made me chuckle.

Thanks for all the fish.

I don't remember that, either.

But I do remember wearing Cougar boots with the tongue hanging out and never, never wearing a hat (I'd wrap a scarf around my head) because of the lack of cool.
