Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Atlantic Canadian Monday Madness

[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

Hi Megan. How are you doing? (Other than the whole not-wanting-to-be-at-work thing.)

I'll be starting work next Monday. My contractor-boss freaked me out last night by calling to ask how my first day had been. I was very relieved when it was confirmed that she was the one who was confused. Got my heart going, though.

I can't even.

I didn't get a chance to get back to the Watch n Post, but I enjoyed the ep immensely. Some of the rest of my thoughts can be summed up thusly:

Hey, Holden!

Ow, the bad men hurt me. What bad men? Tim and Joss.

The ep was pretty bleak for FOX, I have to say.

"I just carried it for you for awhile."

Damn. Some people just won't be saved, but, damn.

Other thing I noticed: second episode in a row with a naked man.

hip deep in pie

You know, seeing the unaired episodes is making me unbearably sad. Because it's almost over, and it shouldn't be. It should be a third of a way through it's glorious second season.

I know! I'm tempted not to watch Heart of Gold, just because then there will be no more to look forward to.

Ladies, we need to pick a day for a pre-Christmas get together. Shall we have breakfast? Lunch? Dinner? Second breakfast? Oooh, we should have tea! Is there any place in town that does a proper afternoon tea?

There's a new dessert cafe downtown. Near the Parade Square...

Hey Ouise, other than hating work, I am pretty much ok. A little stressed, but what can you do.

I'm getting busy with the job fairs again so if you guys pick a night for a get together, I can see if I can make it. I'm working this Saturday morning, which sucks.

According to spacecast.com, next week we get Objects in Space and the following week is the 1st hour of Serenity.

But what about Heart of Gold? It's supposed to be before OIS?

Thanks for all the fish.

Also, I was figuring at the end that they decided to let him die. Do others concur, or was there some line I missed about Simon not being able to fix him up because of the new organs?

There was no line. And I was a little surprised that Simon didn't insist that Holden be taken to the infirmary. It would have made more sense to me if they had not told the doctor about things until they were over. Because they would have had to hide from the Feds, anyway.

New dessert cafe? Fantastic. Let's brainstorm on dates, then.

Maybe Sunday, December 14th?

Sunday's fine for me. I often have tutoring at 4:00 on Sundays, but I can reschedule if late afternoon is the best time for others. Nora says it's fine for her as well.
