NOT MOVING AS IN MOVING TO A DIFFERENT CITY!!!!
I forbid it.
But maybe if you get out of that building you'll be able to smell again.
Was there a new Angel tonight and I just missed it? I got Zombie Cops.
[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

No! Moving to the other side of the wall in the same department. I woke up at 5 am again this morning thinking about what might happen today and it's making me feel physically sick. My boss is going to be mighty pissed off and she isn't the kind of person to think that I'm only trying to better my career situation. she'll think i'm doing this to piss her off. Unfortunately, I'm not the kind of person to say "Whatever,. I don't care."
Also the job fair process has started again so I'll likely be leaving her in a lurch, with only 2 staff, one who is next to useless.
It was an old Angel so now we will be 5 days and a week behind!! Stupid Space! ARGH!
Due to Space not showing the new Angel last night, I would propose changing the thread discription to say:
We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!
Slug to be:
If you get Firefly and Angel on Monday, or live in Atlantic Canada, come here and discuss."
Job-ma and boss-in-good-mood-ma to you, Megan. I hope it goes well.
The description and slug look good to me. Thanks for doing it.
Today is a big decision-day. I've decided to look for a job as an actuarial student, as I mentioned before, but I haven't started actually looking. My EI will run out at the end of March (so I wasn't in a huge rush). Yesterday I got a phone call saying that someone at BIO had asked for me for a contract position working in Matlab (math software which I find quite fun). It would probably be from late November to the end of March. If I work that, then I would have EI left over for until the last week of May. Also at one actuarial consulting firm, they said they'd be hiring someone in the second quarter of next yea ( and they were really nice) so that would fill that in nicely.
I'm trying to decide if I should take it. I'm concerned about doing job-hunting while working, although my mother says she finds it easier when she has a job than when she doesn't. Obviously it would mean more money, and the guy who wants me to work for him is very nice and a good boss (very important after my last experience). In addition, the exam is offered in May and I wold be a much more attractive prospect as an actuarial student job-applicant if I'd already written the exam.
Whew! I've pretty much decided that I will take the job -- or at least find out more about it. I don't like big decisions.

You know, it sounds like a good position for you 'Ouise. If nothing else, you can work and prepare for the exam, and put out feelers for jobs.
I got greedy and watched Angel on digital on Wednesday, and was kinda thinking I'd watch the repeat on Space last night (since I don't tape Angel anymore), but I was out. Sorry to hear that Space hosed you folks. I generally think very highly of Space. Did anyone email them to find out why they didn't air the ep?
Sounds mathy, Ouise!
Take the job, Ouise. Working for Matlab will look good on your resume and, like you say, having Part One of the actuarial examinations under your belt makes you a much better prospect.
Ouise, your description of the job and the boss sound like a nice fit for you. I'm inclined to join the crowd and say Go for it!
My boss has left for the day so no shit will be flying this afternoon. *sigh*
Aw, and you have your "I want you to leave me alone" shirt on. It would have been perfect.
