HEAVY SNOWFALL WARNING FOR HALIFAX METRO AND HALIFAX COUNTY WEST CONTINUED SNOWFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN 10 TO 15 CENTIMETRES ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT.

A LOW PRESSURE CENTRE NEAR NEW YORK CITY THIS MORNING WILL RAPIDLY DEVELOP AS IT PASSES SOUTH OF NOVA SCOTIA TONIGHT TO LIE JUST EAST OF SABLE ISLAND THURSDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COOL ENOUGH TO PRODUCE SNOW OVER MUCH OF NOVA SCOTIA TONIGHT AND EARLY THURSDAY. HOWEVER EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS BLOWING OFF THE OPEN SEA WILL KEEP TEMPERATURES MILD ALONG MUCH OF THE ATLANTIC COAST RESULTING IN RAIN INSTEAD OF SNOW. VERY STRONG EASTERLIES ARE EXPECTED OVER THE SOUTH SHORE AND DIGBY COUNTY THIS EVENING AS THE LOW APPROACHES BUT WILL DIMINISH SOMEWHAT AS THE LOW DRAWS AWAY.

Me too! I've been looking forward to it for two weeks. I love long weekends. There really should be one in February. I shouldn't complain this year, though, since that's when I'm planning on taking my vacation.

Hmm. 11C isn't that bad. This morning was horrible. I waited for 33 minutes for a bus that it supposed to come every ten minutes. Grr. I ended up 50 minutes late for work, and had to walk up the hill to BIO, since the stupid #1 made me miss both #50s. The power almost went out here a bunch of times this morning, but it managed to hold out. Sigh.
