... and that's a Pantera's box you don't want to open. - Mister Furious

You guys all hear that faint distant rumbling? That's my fist shaking because of all the people going to see what seems to be another Desperado movie.

CURSE YOU!

Hey all. B. and I went to see Party Monster late last night at the film festival. Apparently it was the Canadian premiere of the film and there are no plans right now for this movie to be distributed here. It was really, really strange to see Seth Green dressed up in extreme club kid gear and talking about another "Angel".

The film fest guy who introduced the film said that he saw it at the Berlin Film Festival and then went to the after party where he met the cast. He said that Seth Green is "3 apples high", which I thought was cute. =)

Anyway, the movie is not the greatest, and Macaulay Culkin's acting is on the bad side, but it had its moments so I'm glad we went to see it, even if I'm going to be exhausted all day. The guys sitting next to B. drank beer throughout the entire movie and were really restless, but as a testament to the movie, they got really quiet near the end.

American Splendor , which we saw with Sue, is a must see if it comes here in wider distribution. There were a lot of elements in AS that I would have loved to see in PM like interviews with the real people that the actors protrayed. Why have I never heard of Harvey Pekar? I guess I wouldn't if I didn't watch Letterman in the 1980s.

Wow, it was quite a night for drunk people at the movies.

And inappropriate laughter.

You know, I've pretty much learned to live with inappropriate laughter, because my friend Michelle does it all the time. But theat woman was insane! And, she smelled like stale booze.

Either that or you'd need to be heavilly into alternative/underground comics.

Thanks for all the fish.

Sue, if you are reading, Showcase is going to be showing 6 feet under! Starting tonight! (I think) At 10pm, which probably means 11pm. I assume that they are starting with season the first.

I really enjoyed OUATIM, or, as was on our tickets, OAATIM.

Mecha, not only did you miss seeing the new El Mariachi movie, our Hallowe'en party this year is going to be LOTR themed. You should see what Brian is doing for food and decorations. Oh, wait, you CAN'T, BECAUSE YOU MOVED AWAY. Bastard.

Guys, we'll be sending out an official invitation, but it looks like the party will be November 1st.

Yeah, I know about 6FtU on Showcase. I think this is week #3, actually. If they plow on through to season 2, I may have to upgrade my cable.

You know, just tonight, walking home from the drugstore, I was wishing that someone would have a halloween party! Woot!

Thanks for all the fish.

Wow, you think it and I deliver! Do you not get Showcase? You want I should tape 6FU for you?

Yeah, now if I could only control the winning lottery numbers, or my bosses to institute the 3-day week.

Thanks, but I've seen season one, and I may just upgrade if they do seasons 2 and 3. (Especially if that upgrade includes HGTV.) I am instant gratification girl.
