WD just came to personally congratulate me on my job!!!
wow! Good for you! Were you on the b.org at the time? =)
[NAFDA] We used to get Buffy the day before everyone else, now we get Angel a week after everyone else. And Firefly every Monday!

No, but I was checking my home email....
Also, I won a mug in the Adult Education week draw.
I think it's time to buy a lottery ticket!
How are people getting out to Bayer's Lake? I'll see if I can manage -- I have a yoga class until 1:15, and I'm not sure if that will leave enough time for the bus to BL. I'll try!
The bus is pretty good now, 'Ouise. It's every half hour and only take 30-35 minutes to get to BL.
Really, Sue? Excellent! I'll be there, then.
I'd say if you get the 2:00 bus, you're safe for the 3:30 movie...
The route is different now though...it comes from Dartmouth, goes up North Street to Mumford, then out through Fairview and Clayton Park to BL. You can also catch it at the Mumford terminal, if you want to catch another bus out there.
The 52, Ouise, is what you want. We'll be trying to catch that at some point, too. Though I see by the time that you're not at all on the board.
Congratulations on the job, Sue!
Thanks Elena!
Oh yeah, and there's a new bus number... Sometimes I am oblivious to the obvious....
You guys all hear that faint distant rumbling? That's my fist shaking because of all the people going to see what seems to be another Desperado movie.
CURSE YOU!
Hey all. B. and I went to see Party Monster late last night at the film festival. Apparently it was the Canadian premiere of the film and there are no plans right now for this movie to be distributed here. It was really, really strange to see Seth Green dressed up in extreme club kid gear and talking about another "Angel".
The film fest guy who introduced the film said that he saw it at the Berlin Film Festival and then went to the after party where he met the cast. He said that Seth Green is "3 apples high", which I thought was cute. =)
Anyway, the movie is not the greatest, and Macaulay Culkin's acting is on the bad side, but it had its moments so I'm glad we went to see it, even if I'm going to be exhausted all day. The guys sitting next to B. drank beer throughout the entire movie and were really restless, but as a testament to the movie, they got really quiet near the end.
American Splendor , which we saw with Sue, is a must see if it comes here in wider distribution. There were a lot of elements in AS that I would have loved to see in PM like interviews with the real people that the actors protrayed. Why have I never heard of Harvey Pekar? I guess I wouldn't if I didn't watch Letterman in the 1980s.
